Eelke Renschke Bekkenutte (1993) is a Dutch visual artist living and working between Portugal and the Netherlands. Her practice focuses on expressive, abstract painting. Her work is born from sensory perception and takes shape through bodily movement and intuition. Techniques such as painting with bare hands, extended brushes, closed eyes, wild gestures, tearing and re-stitching the canvas, consciously allow failure and imperfection, creating a sense of physical presence. In a time when digital perfection is increasingly the norm, she consciously chooses the raw, the unfinished, and the intuitive.
